Working with values and frames to accelerate positive change

Resources

The Common Cause Handbook is your starting point for learning more.

The Common Cause for Nature report is more applied and offers recommendations for the nature conservation sector and others on how to ensure their work strengthens the values that motivate people to protect and enjoy nature.

We also recommend the Common Cause Foundation’s latest report: Perceptions Matter which includes a useful overview of values and how they work. Although this research focuses on challenges in UK society there are some parallels with South Africa – let us know what you think!

Working with Common Cause Foundation, the Manchester Museum has embarked on an initiative to catalyse a deeper appreciation of compassionate values. Download this prospectus to read more about this putting-values-into-practice project.

The Common Cause Foundation’s website contains numerous other useful reports and toolkits drawing on their long-standing project to understand values in order to inspire action on environmental and social causes.
